SRSI has yet another industry vet joining the team – Dan Kent! We welcome Dan as our newest Senior Project Manager with over 25 years of experience. From Operations to Consultation, Dan comes to us armed with top expertise and perspective.
Originally from Georgetown, Ontario, Kent began his career packing in a warehouse. A mentor sought him out, supported, and taught Dan about the ins and outs of warehousing and process flow. Dan’s eye for detail drove his passion for helping others in material handling and cultivated a lifelong career in the industry while graduating from Colorado Technical University.
Kent has been an integral part of many companies’ significant growth over the years. Being a customer in most cases allowed Dan to work in a hands-on environment and hugely involved on the warehouse floor. He has carried this trait into project management as he often takes over day-to-day operations to best understand each unique situation. Dan has extensive experience with conveyors, pick modules, WMS, and of course, project management. What makes Dan
unique in our industry is his ability to prioritize and see situations in the eyes of the customer.
Dan and SRSI are committed to delivering the best warehouse solutions because we know what it is like to be the ones searching for the greatest ROI. Kent invested time and effort into earning his Six Sigma Green Belt and is continuing to work towards the Black Belt. His favorite part of the industry is watching a project come to life. It is truly incredible seeing a concept turn into hard work and then into a concrete product that benefits the customer.
Residing in our Irving office in Texas, Dan looks forward to making a difference in the lives of each of our customers. He is eager to get some projects under his belt, grow in his profession, and in turn grow SRSI.
With the presence of COVID-19 this year, many people have acquired new hobbies, activities, and norms. After losing his previous job, Dan Kent received a new appreciation and perspective on life. He took advantage of staying home with his family, finishing some home projects, and enjoying time on the golf course.
We are just as eager as Dan is for him to join the team. Do you have questions regarding your distribution process? Are you ready to take the next step in making your warehouse more efficient? Chat with Dan today and be sure to wish him a warm welcome.
