Warehouse solutions creatively define the space within an industrial facility. The material handling and storage systems they’re built on, whether pallet rack, conveyor, picking modules, static, dynamic or automated, all share one critical element… they must be built on a robust, highly-engineered design. For this critically important role, the SRSI team needed a seasoned and trusted industry veteran to manage it all…
Welcome Lenny Charles, Engineering Manager.
Lenny has over 29 years of experience in the design and implementation of material handling systems across a multitude of industries. He also has a long history with SRSI founders Ben and Chris York. The trio has collaborated on a number of successful projects over the years. Luckily for us, that connection has now transferred directly to SRSI where the three will work together under the same business enterprise.
Ben York, Founder SRSI notes that, “We were very fortunate that the timing was right for Lenny to join us at SRSI.” “He’s a skilled engineer but he also has project management experience which allows him to more thoroughly understand not just the scope of the systems, but the broader needs of the project managers,” he adds.
“I really enjoy working within a team to achieve the objectives of our customers. I enjoy the creative thought process as well as being an integral part of bringing those creative ideas to fruition,” explains Lenny.
Lenny draws on his impressive background working for major material handling systems integrators in addition to his formal education. Lenny has an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan.
Lenny will wear a few hats at SRSI. His responsibilities include systems engineering, equipment specifications, and systems integration. He is working from SRSI headquarters in Southlake, TX so please drop him a line to say, “Hello”.
